Anna Balkan Trunk Show
Join us on Thursday and Friday, August 1st & 2nd for a very special trunk show featuring amazing one-of-a-kind pieces from jewelry designer Anna Balkan.
Anna Balkan’s handcrafted necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings are distinctive conversation pieces composed of the finest natural semi-precious gemstones and pearls from around the world. Her work has been incredibly popular at Whale's Tale for the past two seasons and this year we've introduced her work to Splash. This trunk show is a great opportunity for us to showcase her more elaborate pieces.
Anna Balkan came to the US in 1992 as a refugee, alone with $100 and no English. Since then she's achieved a college degree, built a career in IT, and now a business with 10 employees, a retail store, and scores of wholesale accounts. Designed from the heart, Anna’s designs showcase unique color combinations and each piece makes a remarkable fashion statement.

Mermaid & Pirate Day
Whale's Tale is hosting Mermaid and Pirate Day on July 26th from 1-4pm.
Touch live sea creatures with the Nature Center of Cape May, meet The Greatest Captain in the World author Captain Johann Steinke, meet a mermaid, and make a nautical craft to remember the day by.
Meet marine life when the Nature Center of Cape May brings their touch tank full of interesting creatures for us to learn about. This unique hands-on educational experience is fun for all ages!
Johann Steinke is a tall ship captain who loves singing and dancing and a good story. He wants everyone to discover the joy of history, sailing and the sea, and his book, The Greatest Captain in the World, is a part of that.
Come dressed in your best Mermaid or Pirate outfit and win a prize!
Admission is free and all are welcome!

Michou Summer Trunk Show
Join us for a Michou Trunk Show with artist Michele Sonner!
Join us on Saturday and Sunday, July 13th & 14th as Michele shares her jaw dropping creations.
Known for classic sea life pieces and an amazing one-of-a-kind collection Michou jewelry is truly a gemstone lovers treat! Michele searches the globe for unique and beautiful gemstones, and these pieces feature her most stunning finds. The jewelry is created around the stones, forming a seamless fusion of metal and gemstone that enhance the stones with ribbons of sterling silver and are accented with 22K gold vermeil.
Michele often uses elements of filigree, granulation, and scroll-work. From pendants and earrings to bracelets and cuffs, Michele’s exquisite work is truly “Art to Wear”, perfect for every occasion, and suitable for both day and night.

Joy Hannan Trunk Show

On Saturday, July 6th from 1-4pm we are excited to host a trunk show with New Jersey silversmith Joy Hannan.
Known for her intricate and whimsical mermaids her work is a favorite among Splash customers! We hope you'll join us as Joy talks about her process, from
sketch, to cutting and pulling the silver, to naming each piece, and shows off
some of her latest work.
